Refund & Dispute Policy

Fair dispute resolution and refund procedures for clients and freelancers on Tascey.

Last updated: 20 June 2026

1. Purpose

This Refund & Dispute Policy explains how disputes, refunds, milestone reviews, payment reversals and related matters are handled on the Tascey platform. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Trust & Safety Policy and Help & Support pages.

2. Milestone-Based Contracts

Tascey operates using milestone-based contracts. Before work begins, milestone funding may be required from the client. Funded milestone amounts may be held by the platform until completion, approval, dispute resolution, refund determination or other actions permitted under platform policies.

3. Opening a Dispute

A dispute may be opened after a contract has started where either party believes there is a problem involving project delivery, communication, payment, quality of work, missed requirements, non-performance or other material issues.

Disputes must be submitted through the platform using the available dispute procedures.

4. Evidence & Investigation

Tascey administrators may request evidence from one or both parties, including messages, files, delivery records, screenshots, requirements, communications and other supporting information.

Both parties are expected to cooperate fully during the investigation process.

5. Response Time Requirements

Users may be required to respond to administrator requests within forty-eight (48) hours.

Failure to respond within the requested timeframe may result in a decision being made using the information and evidence available at the time.

6. Refund Decisions

Tascey may issue a full refund, partial refund, no refund, milestone release, contract continuation or other appropriate resolution depending on the facts of each case.

Refund decisions are determined after review of available evidence, communications, contract terms, milestone status and platform records.

7. Full Refunds

A full refund may be granted where evidence shows that funded milestone work was not delivered, project obligations were not met, or other circumstances justify a complete return of funds to the client.

8. Partial Refunds

A partial refund may be granted where both parties contributed value, responsibility is shared, work was partially completed, or another fair allocation of funds is appropriate.

Partial refund percentages are determined on a case-by-case basis.

9. Release of Funds

Where a freelancer is determined to be entitled to milestone funds, the approved amount may be released according to Tascey's applicable fee structure and platform policies.

10. Contract Continuation

Depending on the circumstances, Tascey may allow a contract to continue following dispute review if doing so is considered appropriate and both parties remain capable of fulfilling their obligations.

11. Final Dispute Decisions

Tascey administrators have authority to review evidence, request additional information and make dispute decisions.

Once a dispute has been reviewed and formally resolved, the same dispute may not be reopened except where required by law or where exceptional circumstances are identified by Tascey.

12. Chargebacks & Payment Reversals

If a chargeback, payment reversal or disputed payment occurs, Tascey may investigate the transaction and take actions necessary to protect the platform, its users and financial partners.

Tascey may recover disputed amounts from available wallet balances. Any unrecovered amount may result in a negative account balance. Future deposits, credits or recoverable balances may automatically be applied toward outstanding chargeback obligations.

Account restrictions, withdrawal limitations, payment holds or other controls may be applied until outstanding liabilities are resolved.

13. Abuse of the Dispute System

Filing false claims, submitting misleading evidence, abusing the dispute process or attempting to manipulate outcomes may result in warnings, account restrictions, suspension, termination or legal action.

14. Governing Law

This Refund & Dispute Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
